Inclement Weather Information

Cold Days Ahead
This is the image for the news article titled Cold Days AheadAs the days get colder and winter settles in, Warren County R-III School District prepares for the inevitable snow day.  For those who make decisions about whether to have a regular day of school, or to cancel school, these days are challenging.  Many things are considered when making decisions on inclement weather days, but the ultimate decision is always based on what is best for the students.  Student safety is the primary concern of our school district.

Every effort will be made to provide cancellation notices as early as possible. Our Director of Transportation is checking the roads and keeping an eye on the weather during these winter months. As soon as a decision is made, local radio and television stations are notified. School closings will be listed on the district website, a Schoolreach call will be made, and will be posted on Facebook.

When inclement weather causes the District to cancel school or dismiss classes early, please check the following television and radio stations for school closing information.

KTVI - TV Channel 2             KMOX Radio   1120 AM

KMOV - TV Channel 4           KWRE Radio 730 AM

KSDK - TV Channel 5            KFAV  Radio 99.9 FM

These TV and radio stations also have web sites with the same school closing information. Look for the Warren County R-III School District.

Early dismissal is not an option we like to use unless conditions are expected to get worse throughout the day. Please try to have a plan in place to handle late starts and early dismissals. Please make sure your child's school has the correct information on record.
